Posted on January 22nd, 2012 No commentsWell, don’t tell me I didn’t tell you so. Backup is the most important part of owning a computer. Every day we have calls from customers that have been attacked by Trojans, people with failed hard drives, lost/stolen laptops, mobile phones, etc.
There is no excuse for not having a proper backup procedure in place.
If nothing else, please contact us for a review of your backup/disaster recovery processes. At least signup for a service like CrashPlan and duplicate your date for free.

Sending big files the easy way – WeTransfer

It’s called WeTransfer and works in the same principle as the old favourite YouSendIt.
The service will send a link to the recipient with a link to the file (up to 2 GB) to be downloaded at the other end.

Today, a server lost its network card. Nothing else, just the network card.
We expect loads more unexpected and unexplainable faults to occur in the next 10 days or so.
The problem is that in order to avoid any problems, you must wear a tin foil hat. Any takers?
